Transportation in Budapest

To get around Budapest, you have several options. The metro is a convenient and efficient way to travel, with four lines (M1, M2, M3, and M4) that cover most areas of the city. You can buy single tickets, blocks of 10 tickets, or daily tickets, which can be purchased at ticket vending machines at metro stations. Alternatively, you can use buses, trams, or taxis, but be aware that traffic jams can be a problem. Walking is also a great option, as many attractions are within walking distance of each other. If you prefer to bike, Budapest has a bike-sharing scheme called MOL Bubi, which allows you to rent bikes easily and cheaply using an app. Additionally, you can take a river cruise or boat tour to see the city from a different perspective.
