Transportation in Istanbul

To get around Istanbul, Turkey, you have several transportation options. The most efficient and affordable way is to use the public transportation system, which includes the metro, buses, dolmuş (collective minibuses), trams, and ferries. You can purchase an IstanbulKart, a rechargeable card that can be loaded with money and used to pay for fares on all public transportation. The IstanbulKart can be purchased for 50 Turkish lira and a single fare costs around 7.67 Turkish lira. You can also use taxis, but make sure to use an app service to ensure the meter is engaged.
