Transportation in Luxor

To get around Luxor, Egypt, I would recommend hiring a private car or taxi, as it is a convenient and hassle-free option. You can also use Uber, but it's only available in Cairo, not in Luxor. Alternatively, you can take a taxi, which is a good alternative to public transportation. However, it's best to agree on the price with the driver beforehand, especially for out-of-town journeys. If you prefer to use public transportation, there are city buses and microbuses/vans available, but they can be crowded and the routes are not well-marked. It's also worth noting that Luxor has a relatively small city center, so walking or taking a short taxi ride can be a good option for getting around.
