Transportation in Paris

Paris is a walkable city, and walking is a great way to explore the city, as it allows you to see more of the city and experience places you might have missed otherwise. However, if you need to travel farther or get tired of walking, the public transportation in Paris is super useful and an inexpensive way to get around the city. The metro is an easy, comprehensive, and safe way to travel through Paris, and a single metro ticket costs €1.90. You can also use the local public transportation and the T+ ticket (1.90€) can be used to travel by metro, train, buses, and tram. Additionally, you can rent a public Vélib bike or experience the best parts of Paris on a guided bike tour, as Paris has more than 700km of cycling paths. If you're traveling from the airport, the best way to get to Paris is to take the train, which will take you into the heart of the city.
